Stressed about appearance

I have extremely low self esteem. To be completely honest, I know I am not unattractive, and I have actually been told by guys that Im attractive too. I am an active girl and I try to take care of my appearance the best I can when I dont feel like total crap. The problem is, I cant stop looking in the mirror. I know it sounds dumb, but every time I see a mirror I HAVE to look in it. And its not like a quick glance, but for 10+ mins at a time. Also, its not because Im intrigued by my appearance. Its quite the opposite actually. Its almost like a self confirmation sort of thing I guess? I get terrible stress and panic when I am walking out in public as I HATE having eyes on me. My mind races and starts telling me ‘you have something on your face or ‘your hair looks funny and out of place. In turn, this makes me run to the nearest bathroom or mirror there is and fix the way I look. Usually Ill try and fix my makeup or hair to make sure it looks good and presentable for the public eye. I leave the mirror, only to come back to it the next chance I get. I hate the way I look without makeup, and cannot leave my house without it. Its been so crippling lately that I cant go anywhere without looking in a mirror. I want to stop, but the mirror has me trapped. And on the other side, I feel like if I took them away, I would stress even more about how I look. Im not sure if anyone else is experiencing something similar, but any guidance would help cause I am certainly lost.

Hi, im actually going through the same thing as you do. Im kind of obssesed with my appearance and i know how hard it can be. Sometimes when people look at me i think they might be thinking that im ugly. Im currently learning to accept myself withouth any makeup on. Its difficult but try to do that slowly. I managed to go out withouth any makeup but i kept looking at my feet all the time so people couldnt see me. Now, my biggest struggle is my body.

Unfortunately i cant give you any advice, but know that i give you all my support

I'm having the same kind of situation. I have had eczema since I was a child. It tends to become worse on cold weather, humidity and with stress. It is dry and has redness. Went today for a consult for a tattoo. My regular artist left to raise her 2 boys. I showed the artist the photo I wanted and the area. He tells me area is too small. Then notes the area on my arm questioning what it is. After explaining it's eczema he proceeds to insist he can't tattoo the area. He says I need cortisone etc treatment. Asks me about drs etc. I was very hurt, insulted, and embarrassed. Have had problems feeling deserving, enough and attractive. Never feel attractive or like photos
