What do I do now
I've had social anxiety my whole life. I'm even anxious to post in this forum but I need to start somewhere. Everyone said I was just shy and I would grow out of it but now I'm 24 and I don't even know how to have a simple conversation. I'm very uncomfortable meeting new people on my own and I'm dependent on my friends and family when I'm around new people. I just want to get over this but I don't know where to start.
@ShyChy

@ShyChy Hey ShyChy. I also have SA. I'm 26 and have had it for a long time as well, since middle school. I had a good therapist who helped me a lot, and I just started with a new one, so I'm hoping this one helps! Meditation has helped me some as well. It seems to make me feel better overall, even though I still have anxiety attacks in certain situations.
