So i want to start by introducing myself. My name is james and im a six year army veteran with one tour in iraq. I have so far completed my associates degree and obtained 112 credits at the university level with a 3.75 gpa. Despite all this i have severe anxiety that is hurting me deeply during this summer break, im currently unemployed with nothing to do except study for the classes im taking in the fall. My anxiety seems to stem around a fear of failing, like i believe that im not going to make it to graduation this december. my anxiety also seems to come from a fear of starting the semester, im afraid that ill have panic attacks and the anxiety will be so bad that i wont be able to do the work and i wont graduate. Has anyone had experinence with college and managing anxiety and do you think ill make it too if i push myself? im on meds and currently waiting to see someone at the VA.

@imaginativeChestnut2732 If you've completed your associate's degree it's clear you're ready for college-level work. Will it be different? Maybe. Will it be harder? Maybe.

If you're concerned about performing academically well, you may want to look into the resources your school has. It's been awhile but many schools have tutoring services in all subjects, professors should have office hours, and there should be resources such as study groups, seminars on studying tips and more.

I experienced something somewhat similar, except it was starting a new job. I'll bet you'll be prepared and more ready than you realize. :) Good luck!
