social anxiety at school

whenever i’m walking in the halls or sitting down in class, i always feel like everyone is looking at me ( not in a very good way ) and whenever they talk, i always feel like they’re talking about me. this has started recently because of these two girls looking back at me in class and then talking about something that i’m oblivious to. i don’t know what to do but it’s making me nervous to go to school everyday now that everyone is back in school full time :(

Hey! I know that feeling. Back when I was young i will feel the same like nervous or feel uncomfortable of people starring at me and etc. But then i just ignore that like be in my own world like dont let them get into you I know it can be hard but just don't let them intimidate you. The best thing to do is ignore them and show them that they dont intimidate you because if you show them weakness then they are winning and you dont want that! So i hope this advice could help you!

Hey there! You’re so not alone in that department. I struggle with social anxiety too and sometimes it can be very stressful to the point of exhaustion. During my school career, I try my best to be friendly with at least one or two people in each class so it’s less to go through alone and to not cause chaos when someone doesn’t show up. It can be nerve wracking but if someone extends an olive branch, as in being nice be nice back because in the long term it will help. Don’t worry about those girls, they are just mean and petty, and probably not talking about you unless you have a stain on your shirt. I hate the feeling of walking alone in the halls the stigma around it, so friendly faces come in handy and it’s nice to catch up in the halls in between classes throughout the day and see throughout the week.

hey i’ve been there :( actually i am there. i feel the exact same way as you do. for me, everything i do i feel that someone is watching and gossiping about me behind my back. everything i do i feel is an embarrassment. i feel that i should never show my face around the school ever again. i’ve recently made up excuses or got in huge trouble just for the sake of not going to school. i mean, who wouldn’t talk about me? i’m so ugly and weird compared to the other girls. why can’t i look like them and maybe i wouldn’t feel so insecure and ugly walking down the halls.. i don’t know if you were hoping for a solution, i’m sorry if you were but i just don’t know what to do either. i just want you to know that you’re not alone and i’m here with you if you ever want to talk one on one. i need the extra comfort too.. :)

Thats tough. And I know how that feels. Well done in talking about it. Maybe continue the conversation with counselor and even other peer support.
