social anxiety in crowded places?
Like a football match or on a bad day it could be the supermarket or the bus and train...even crossing the road and the people on the other side watch you for a few seconds and bus stops ...How does your mind catch up with what you already know which is they are not bothered about you but for this few seconds it feels like it....I am aware that the mind is like a computer so if you overload it then it runs slower so maybe I have to many subconscious thoughts about people judging me ...How can I decrease that

Thank you for logging onto 7 Cups and sharing that. I think you're explaining what a lot of people feel. I also constantly feel like people are thinking of me, being bothered by me in some way or that they don't like me - which is often not the case. Miscommunication and my running thoughts often cause these internal struggles toward myself.
I think it's important to stay in the present. When you're in one of those overwhelming social situations, try keeping your thoughts to what you know, not what you think you know. Sometimes we blend those two together and we can't tell the difference causing that computer-like "over-drive" you mentioned. We have to do our best to decipher that and focus on the positive instances and people around us.
Take a deep breath and just breathe. You always have amazing listeners online to talk you through these tough situations. <3
@EleNergy thank you for that excellent comment it has made me understand also that it is actually my uncomfortablenss and possible awkwardness after a negative thought that makes me think others are natural empaths like me and that they read me then feel awkward and uncomfortable but maybe you're right and that is not the case :)
