Autism tips
FYI I don't personally think I have autism, but tips for it help me ALOT, so do yall have any tips for autism? P.S If anyone knows a professional I can talk to about this casually (I can't pay for an official diagnosis yet, and my parents don't see it) it would be great help. TY<3

I'm sorry that you cannot speak to your parents 💛
I hope anyone going through the same or has been diagnosed might reach out 🥰
Also feel free to pop in and share and chat in the sharing circle 🥰

Hey! I’ll do my best to help. A lot of this depends on the symptoms or the traits that are dominant for you. Autistic people are very diverse, so the advice that other people might benefit from may be unhelpful for you. Is there anything specific that you feel is impacting you?
One of the things that are a lot of people find helpful, especially if they are late diagnosed or self-identified, is understanding your needs, this includes your sensory needs (The areas in which you are hyposensitive and hypersensitive compared to a ‘neurotypical’ brain). Depending on your age, there may not be a lot of resources externally to you, But having a good understanding of how your specific neurotype is presenting allows you to put in place accommodations for yourself And also to have kindness for yourself when things are difficult - understanding that there’s not something wrong with you, and that it’s not just a matter of trying harder, just that your brain may work differently and need different accommodations. This could be headphones, sensory toys, routines, and these are things that not only autistic people benefit from.
