Documentaries and Other Resources
Hey all,
As an advocate of mental health and ABA therapist, this is a topic that hits close to home. Even though ASD does not directly impact my life on a personal level, I work with families everyday who share this reality. That said, I thought it important to compile a list of our favorite resources. I have watched a couple of documentaries these past few months that have jolted me awake on this topic. Both of these can be found on Netflix. Please see below for more details and share your own favorites in the space below. I will be adding more soon!
Thank you!!
"Sounding the Alarm" Now On Netflix, Amazon, Google Play, iTunes
"The United States of Autism", Richard Everts
Thanks for these great resouces, @BlitheSun94
Does anyone else have helpful resources or documentaries?
Autism in Pink by the National Autistic Society which explains and illustrates a joint EU study entitled 'Autism in Pink'.
Living With Autism by BBC Horizon is a documentary/science special hosted by Uta Frith a developmental psychologist and expert in Autism.
Both of these are available on YouTube, as are quite a few others. Searching 'Autism Documentary' or 'Aspergers Documentary' in Youtube's search bar yields a good asortment of documentaries and TEDtalks etc...
Hope those were the sort of thing you were looking for.
