Dad ruined my Mac and Cheese

And a 1, 2.. 1, 2, 3!

In my kitchen, I stood alone,

Cooking mac and cheese, a meal of my own.

With a pot of sauce, I carefully made,

To make it perfect, like a sunlit glade.

But Dad came in and things went awry,

Moved the pot to a back burner, oh my!

He "destroyed" my sauce, I was in despair,

The cheese was ruined, it was not fair.

My mac and cheese, a dream turned gray,

Lost in the chaos of that fateful day.

I said it needed to turn so orange and bright,

But Dad wasn't listening, and he took flight.

I wanted it as golden as the sun,

But my Dad's actions had come undone.

He thought it had enough cheese, you see,

But I knew it needed more for my recipe.

I tried to explain, but he walked away,

Didn't want to hear what I had to say.

The bottom half got the good stuff, it's true,

But my mac and cheese was far from hue.

My mac and cheese, a dream turned pale

Lost in the chaos of that fateful tale 

I said it needed to turn so orange and bright,

But Dad wasn't listening, and he took flight.

Now I'll remember that culinary tale,

Of a meal gone wrong, a ship that set sail.

Dad, if you'd only listened to my plea,

My mac and cheese could've been full of glee.

@Disneywoman I am so sorry to hear that, my friend. You must have worked really hard to make it extra special. So very sorry it got ruined, my friend. Since it got ruined, I was wondering, what did you have to eat in its place? I hope it was something really good, and extra special.
