High Functioning Austim
Hi, My name is Kirstan Cartier Cooper. How is your day? I would like to come on here and ask a question. My whole life I've been on the high functioning spectrum, I feel like I'm just the dumbest person in this world. I'm learning how to drive, but every time I messed I always hear my aunt and Grandpa voices, my aunt told me that she doesn't have the patience to teach me how to drive, and my Grandpa says I'm too nervous, and one day I will crash and it was my job mom's job to teach, him and Grandma think I'm ***, and every time I mess up or make a mistake my Grandpa, Grandma, Mom, Dad, and Sister, and Step-mom always get mad at me, and every moment I've feel like I've failed. I'm literally crying about this, and then you have kids at school who call me weird and gay. People have called me rude and manipulated me because either they teased me for no reason and times I thought it was me and but it was them, and no one likes me. Is there something wrong me or is it that I'm going crazy. Please tell me.
Sincerely,
Kirstan

Nice to meet you 💜🥰
You are not dumb.
You are not stupid.
No one has the right to make you feel this way. Labels are other people's way of putting us in a box just because they don't understand.
You matter.
Your worth is not determined by your family or what others say or think.
Just be you and try your best 💜💕
Hi Kirstain you are not crazy and YOU GOT THISSSS. You are not bad and you are not a failure you are a precious human being and It took me a long time to learn to drive and I made a lot of mistakes while learning I struggle with hearing other voices of relatives too when I am going down a negative sprial. Sending out good vibes to you. Feel free to connect sometime. Take lots of care you are wonderful and it will get better.
Hi Kristen, so sorry to hear the driving lessons are so stressful, being autistic sometimes feels like a curse but it's a gift too, being perfectionists can make us really anxious because we're trying to do it well first time and we take what other people say as facts when a lot of what they say isn't true at all.
I failed my driving test three times after hundreds of lessons and I'm not stupid, but I was so nervous because I'm aware driving can be dangerous if you do it wrong - and that was with my mum being kind. With your family being mean about it of course you will be feeling even more nervous... try and be the one who will be kind to yourself if nobody else is doing it for you at the moment. The truth is you will learn, and in a few years you might be a much better driver than average, because you think more carefully about certain things than others. That happened to me but it took a couple of years after I passed, at first I was just so scared to drive but I kept going, I hope you do too x
School is often a lonely place but it's not what the rest of your life will be like. Be brave and keep searching for friends. When you find your 'tribe' as you get older, your friendships will be deeper than average and really special, don't listen to the nasty things bullies say, what kind of low-life wastes their time concentrating on making others feel bad? Nobody worth listening to.
Keep your head up and keep going and you will do fine!
Sorry I got your name wrong, I can't see it while I was typing and have a terrible memory for names
