I believe that I am autistic and I would like to be evaluated. But it's so expensive and it's very discouraging
The main reason I want the official diagnosis is so that I can really start getting more support from those around me

I think if you get a diagnosis it should be for better ways to deal with things ...for you not anyone else.
honestly expecting better treatment or support may not happen because some may question the diagnosis as this has a huge leeway on the spectrum.
If a person wants to support you they should be doing it regardless of an official Diagnosis.
