Mom's making supper prevents me from having Mac and Cheese tonight
Normally Tuesdays are one of two days a week I get to make my own supper. I had my heart set on making Mac and cheese tonight because I don't want to make it on Thursday night because I want to serve a new recipe on pasta, on Friday night and I don't want to have Pasta two days in a row. (I was fine with her making supper last Tuesday, because I didn't have anything in mind FOR Tuesday's supper last week). And I'm just sitting down to eat by now, if I had mad mac and cheese or at least almost done eating my mac and cheese if I had made it. And I would have had some kind of "weird" soup on Thursday instead of mac and cheese
But Mom has upset my normal Tuesday routine by insisting on making the supper for the three of us- Mom, dad and I. Which means my entire meal plan for today and Thursday's is screwed up and it might also screw up the what-to-serve the new recipe for Friday on I'm not much of a fan of undress rice (I mean, yeah there will be a 'gravy" in the new recipe) and I don't know if rice goes well with meatballs because I associated meatballs with pasta, not rice. I mean I could technically make an argument about it being different pasta, and being cooked differently- since Mac and cheese would be with macaronic, vs. the other dish would be with Spaghettis pasta, or Linguine noodles.
I think I hurt Mom feeling's or something because when I went downstairs to set the table and Dad was kidding me about me "being from Narnia" because I'm wearing my house coat because I was grumpy about not being able to make my planned supper. "she's just having a meltdown because I'm making supper,,,"
Update: I'm going to make Mac and cheese on Thursday anyway for supper and have some other kind of pasta on Friday with the meatball and onion gravy (the gravy will have veggies other then onion of course)

Sometimes people do not understand the impact when someone else's routine gets disrupted, right? I do hope that your Thursday mac and cheese meal is super satisfying!
