am i autistic?
how to know if im autistic?
as a woman i know its hard to notice autism in women
but almost all my traits (except for sensory issues) align so much with autism, infact i was diagnosed with social anexity and have tried to fix it but it never worked, also ive been struggling with social problems even before i started struggling with social anexity and was very social
and have been trying to self diagnose but no label fit me as perfectly as high masking autism
specially about being "naive", i always would self analyze trying to understand what causes that? and always tried to hide this naive part of me so i dont get taken advantage off or hide it or get ride of it by practicing more social interactions, but it never went awayy and usually there was no answer
even the bullying ive gone through that i still go through even if less, for "no reason" the only thing that explains it is autism
i do not have the money to go to a professional who can help me get the right diagnosis, so how do i really know if i am
specially because my mom always invalidates me when i say i got bullied and struggled alot, saying its normal and happened to everyone and i have to stop "acting like i am mentally ill" when im fine

I don't know for sure if you have autism.
But I'm sorry you were bullied.
I'm sorry you were invalidated.
Society often makes victims feel like they are in the wrong, they were too weak or did something wrong, but this is not true, being bullied is not a reflection on you.
It doesn't make you less.
I hope with time, you get the answers and the support you need 💜💕

@tidySpring1309It sounds like you’ve been through a lot, and your feelings are valid. Autism in women often looks different and can be hard to recognize. While a professional diagnosis is ideal, without access to one, you can start by learning more about autistic traits in women through trusted resources and online communities. Many people find self-assessment tools helpful, but they are not definitive. Keep trusting your experience and seeking support where you can. Remember, your struggles are real, and you deserve understanding and care. If your mom dismisses your feelings, try reaching out to others who validate and support you.

Interesting, I just took a free autism test online today. It's not the equivalent to seeing a doctor, but worth a try. Just google free autism test
I’m so sorry. I went through that myself, wondering if I was Autistic or not yet knowing something was wrong, more than just anxiety. Check out “Embrace Autism” tests. You can do all the tests free. Once you have more funds maybe you can move forward with getting the diagnosis. But for now, know that no matter what others say, it does not invalidate what you yourself know deep inside and your own experiences. You are stronger and more amazing than you know!
