What has been your biggest challenge you have overcome and how did you overcome it?

@Kumabrown78 Not sure if you're looking for bipolar-related answers but the hardest thing I've overcome is grief and the feeling of guilt that came with it. Hope you've been feeling well.

@FinleyTews

I am stable and in control atm. I struggle with guilt of the damage I have left in the wake before. Some things I experienced during mania has stuck with me and I am about to try hypnosis. Sadly I am trying to remove someone special time from my mind. My #1 struggle is the thoughts of her and the damage I caused. I've been looking for ways to go at least one day without thoughts of her. I knew her at the height of a manic episode and some how it burned I to my mind.

@Kumabrown78 This must be really rough for you. Let me know how hypnosis goes. Focusing on not thinking about something just makes us think about it more, I assume thinking about her has greatly affected your daily functioning?

@FinleyTews I will post up how it goes. I am not sure how it will work with this pandemic. My therapist and psychiatrist both are curious as well. I don't want to lose the thought of her, but for my mental state, I need to. My situation around her is a long story. The short version is we both have bipolar and would pick the other one up. Thoughts of her effect my mood drastically and it becomes very difficult to remain stable. One of our songs can cause the emotions to rush back and make me almost lose control. This is also why it is so hard to share this story. I am willing to try anything.

@Kumabrown78 Sorry for the late reply, I lost this thread for a bit. It must be painful to erase someone important, and I hope that hypnosis will help you until you are able to process these emotions in a safer way. As I haven't learnt much about hypnotherapy, will this treatment make you forget about her until something reminds you, or forget particular things that are linked to her?

@FinleyTews I'm not sure of the outcome yet. As long as it can help some what at least. Kind of like meds to where I have more control over them.
