No don't think you life is ruined if you have bipolar depression. There is treatment available as I'm sure your doctor would have guided you on.

I was just diagnosed with bipolar disorder about a year ago. Sometimes, I feel like my life is ruined too. But, through treatment, and I have started to gain more and more hope that this diagnosis, while horribly inconvenient/a pain/something I’m already over, does not actually have to control or ruin my life. I must admit, believing this easier said than done most days right now but, with time, I think I’ll come to believe this more and more.
