There is a lot of literature that states that support networks are incredibly important for those who suffer from bipolar disorder.

Tell us about your support network!

My SO and parents are super important and supportive for me. I also have my Team, my psychiatrist and nurse who help me. Most of all I have all of you, this amazing community of lovely people who support me all the time!

Two of my best friends are my biggest support system. They both also have bipolar disorder, so they understand exactly where i am coming from. I am thankful for them both, without them I would be alone.

Everyone, how are we feeling about support networks these days?
Especially at such a demanding time of the year.
Do you feel friends and family are more helpful or stressful during the holidays?
What about support groups and places we go for support that get interrupted?

I know I feel the loss of support in my group support meetings-- the weather keeps many people from coming out to connect and discuss the events of their lives. And holiday socializing also keeps some people from having the freedom to come out as well. It will feel much better for me once things get back to "normal." Whatever that is! Ha ha ha.
