Is this bipolar?
I have multiple diagnoses already, but I am thinking if I have bipolar. I have these "periods" of everything going smoothly and maybe a little too fast. I can do everything and I do everything I can to get multiple things done in a short period of time. I feel really energized, but I don't sleep less than I usually do.
Then I have periods of where I after an energized period hit a wall and everything goes wrong. I feel stressed, depressed and hopeless, and can't figure out how to do anything. I feel like I have too much in my head, and I can't get anything done at all, bc it all feels so overwhelmingly hard.
Can this be bipolar? I already have anxiety, schizophrenia, an eating disorder and I was diagnosed with depression - but maybe depression is wrong?
Only a doctor can diagnose you, however I have the same problems and have dealt with them for many years until I went to.the doctor and told her my symptoms. She ran a blood test where they checked for any imbalances and she suggested I get a CAT scan which I politely declined doing. She left the office and diagnosed me with bipolar, she wanted me to take Abilify and another medication for it, I took one pill and I felt something in my brain shift, like a cracking sound and I passed out. And so that was not the route in curing my bipolar. They have natural remedies called "homeopathic" cures and such. Basically therapy is good for managing it, but it really does feel like you're in a sinking boat that you put holes in yourself but can't remember doing it, but
you have to be strong enough to realize how you really feel at the moment, and try to relax when you're hyper and try to do something else when you're sad and depressed. The medication in my opinion would just make you too tired to have the energy to even think sad thoughts because all you're thinking about is sleep. I personally would rather fight it without medication. I've been doing OK for almost a year with no medications so far.
Bipolar seems serious but it's really tge self control problems that are bad in my opinion: controlling your emotions, trying to be reliable on yourself when you feel like you're drowning. It's hard but sometimes ignoring it all helps to, like do one thing at a time and constantly ask yourself "Am I making a smart decision?"
