I suffer with anxiety and depression and I'm pretty sure my other half suffers from bipolar but he won't go to the doctors to confirm. I'm wondering if any of you have any advice on how I can help/cope when he has a down turn as they last quite a while and affect us both very negatively. Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to share with me ☺ xx

@Schmoosh87

Sorry to hear that you suffer from Anxiety and Depression and you think your other half has Bipolar, I can imagine that's it's not easy for both of you at times.

If I was in your situation I was always try to remain positive, and show my other half that I was always there for them if they needed a chat. i would also focus on doing some fun activities or just some activities that get your brain thinking a bit and gets you doing something rather then thinking about how you are feeling, so some activities could be things like going for a walk, doing some art, cooking, playing some games. It's also so important for you to care for yourself as well, as I'm sure it's not always easy being around your other half sometimes, so do things that make you happy as well, treat yourself from time to time.
