Newly diagnosed
Hi was diagnosed bipolar in February this year and started Lamotrigine and fluoxetine, the mood stabilisers seem to have worked pretty well and my ups and downs are not as intense as before, I still have ups but they don’t last long, my euphoric moods would last up to 3 weeks and my depressed moods longer and it’s a relief to finally get a little bit of stability, however I feel like Iv still got chronic anxiety especially when waking up in the mornings, and always feeling like I’m in a rush, and sometimes my stability feels like boredom now, does this make sense?

Hey Donna, I completely understand what you're saying! I am diagnosed with Bipolar disorder as well and I know it can be so tough even with medication. However, I am so glad to hear that you've been doing better on the medication! With Bipolar, you'll always have ups and downs - no matter what, but it will help you if you're on the right med. Communicate with your doctor and let them know everything the medication is making you feel. Best of luck to you and sending my best wishes to you as well!
