...See more I keep waking up with horrible anxiety im waiting to change my medication as fluoxetine isn’t helping at all it’s just making me feel ramped up more, I wake up and my ears are ringing and I literally don’t know what to do with myself through the day it’s starting to get me down I just want to be normal 😢 as if we haven’t got enough to deal with being bipolar, I want to feel happy again but I just feel flat and very anxious.

...See more I’m on 40mg of fluoxetine and 200mg lamotrigine and the fluoxetine doesn’t seem to be doing much for the anxiety anymore, Iv been on it for a good few month and every-time my dose goes higher it just stops helping after a couple of weeks again. And today I just felt overwhelmed with everything even just going good shopping and the fact the garden grass needed cut just everything was stressing me out I burst into tears on the bus. I’m always waking up stressed and I feel absolutely worn out.

Does anyone have similar mood triggers?

...See more I find certain things can trigger my moods, If I have too much fun/too much socialising/excitement and going on holiday this can trigger hypomania, also lack of sleep too. And I find that too much feeling down in the dumps can trigger a full on depression episode which lasts for ages. Does anyone experience similar? That’s what i struggle with because I still have flashes of different moods but they are a bit more stable than they were previously, but how do you handle triggers when these are all daily life situations?

...See more The last few days my mood has dropped right down I’m on mood stabilisers (Lamotrigine for bipolar) and although it’s improved a lot since starting them in November 2020 I still have mood changes but they are not as intense and scary as they were previously, is it normal to still experience mood shifts? I just feel really down and can’t stop crying, I feel like I’m totally on my own and have no support sometimes, I have no family since my mam committed suicide 16 years ago and everyone in the family drifted apart. I feel like I’m going to explode sometimes keeping everything to myself, and mental health services are taking too long to allocate me a new cpn as the last one kept cancelling my appts which wasn’t helping me. My partner doesn’t talk much so I just feel so alone dealing with everything 😢

...See more Hello I was going to post this yesterday but I didn’t know how to explain how I feel. Ever since I started lamotrigine in November and have worked my way up to 200mg a day I have seen a drastic improvement in my moods to the point they are very subtle, is this what is supposed to happen? Is it normal? I think because it’s taken years to get a diagnosis of something I sort of don’t know how to feel anymore, I’ve been so used to being either depressed/suicidal thoughts/hypomanic that now they have to eased a lot I don’t know how to feel anymore? What is a normal mood? and I know people can’t be euphorically happy every day as it’s not possible but I’m worried I’m not me anymore.

...See more My anxiety every day makes me feel like I’m always in a hurry doing things, like I’m rushing all the time, I can never just sit and relax as I always feel like I have to be up and doing something instead. I feel worn out at times, I’m bipolar too but that’s more under control now, Iv tried meditation for anxiety but I can’t seem to relax I’m always tensed up, and it’s driving me crazy!

Newly diagnosed

...See more Hi was diagnosed bipolar in February this year and started Lamotrigine and fluoxetine, the mood stabilisers seem to have worked pretty well and my ups and downs are not as intense as before, I still have ups but they don’t last long, my euphoric moods would last up to 3 weeks and my depressed moods longer and it’s a relief to finally get a little bit of stability, however I feel like Iv still got chronic anxiety especially when waking up in the mornings, and always feeling like I’m in a rush, and sometimes my stability feels like boredom now, does this make sense?
