@Kate

For me if I may share but hopefully it doesnt sound negative or triggering but I would like to share my signs of feeling if Mania is arises.

For me it can be at time a feeling of dread and emptiness like a complete lack of no energy to do anything. Reason for that is because Im doing the elimination process if it gonna high or low sometimes it just happens without notice and at times it noticeable and when I do notice it I usually go to my corner and ride it out. But the scary part is when I dont notice it because at times it can just be stress buildup mistakenly and at times it full blown Mania.

When I have it its usually really bad mood swings at first but then my brain will pick a mood and its usually this kinda happy but mad.. I've just kinda named it my chaotic neutral so I had smt to put a name to it. I get really irritated and I feel like hurting people and then it will switch and I'll be happy again and then every other emotion you can go through.. and it's even worse when I'm sleep deprived

I never diagnosed by this particular disorder .. but all the symtoms apply on my enrgey levels through out a regular day .. I wake up with great positive enrgey .. hit to work start the day with a smile .. in the end of the day I'm stressed out .. frustrated ,by the end of the day sudden sadness of dark thoughts in my mind . Just before I go to bed I'd start to cry .. which makes me real moody next morning .. and I'd be overwhelmed about small things .. anything could iretait emotional outburst wether it was hysterical laughing or crying or hard time with extreme anger episodes and talking real fast .. before I know it I'm in deep depression that lasts for weeks main while trying so hard to cover it up by forcing myself to smile and wearing a lot of masks which makes it harder to get over it .. eventually I start to get addicted to some different pills or 12 cups of coffee a day or even self harming ( tried to commit suicides 3 times ) just to get over depression and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't .. and the depression lasts for monthes .. until I find myself putting steps to get over it such as working out daily, drawing, reading excessivley and maybe do something real crazy .. when I try all this I finally feel coming out of it to find myself back right where I started feeling great just to start it all over again .. it became a pattern throughout my last 6 years .. never took pills or even consulted a professional therapist .. for society reasons ..

A sympton of bipolar for me is over spending.

I could just tell immediately. For me, negative thoughts disappeared and the ability to read emotions in people skyrocketed. Nothing could stop me. I would start writing stories and not finish them. I would message friends or loved ones all day long. I had unlimited energy. I would stay up and sleep like an hour maybe. I would burn it up because I knew a crash would be coming and it would hit hard. frown

Overspending, changing phones with the underlying paranoid delusion that I am being hacked and the government is after me, getting into multiple projects and meeting new people in order to try to achieve the project, being overly communicative and insomnia to name a few
