how can I NOT be a bipolar??

hey people. I think I'm bipolar and I think I also have anger issues?? I always switch emotions so fast and whenever I become angry, I always think the way a murderer should think. is something wrong with me? please, I think I need help

@Eveeeeeee I am not an expert, but according to the guidelines, for a diagnosis of bipolar I disorder an episode must last at least a week, and for bipolar II disorder at least 4 days. This does not seem to match the "always switch emotions so fast" that you describe.

But I agree with you that you might need help because of your emotions and thoughts. No one here can advise you about a diagnosis, so asking a doctor might be a good move.

it’s possible, but i am borderline and that sounds a little like it. maybe try doing some research? here’s an article that might help!

I’m diagnosed bipolar and just now talking about rage issues which I remember my mom

having. Not sure it’s related but I’ve seen where anger can happen instead of mania. My soon to be ex kept saying being with me was walking on eggshells. I’m sorry he felt that way. I’m sorry if I made him feel that way.

to my limited knowledge, bipolar mood swings take place over the course of weeks, for instance a manic episode cannot be considered a manic episode if it doesn't last at least a week. mood swings within a day would be indicative of something like cyclothymia.
