It sounds like it’s not the emotions or whatever that may be most worrisome to you but the way you think others are perceiving you, which could cause more emotions in the body (energy in motion in the body - e motion).
As someone who was diagnosed later with bipolar then ever later with borderline I have to say that there is a lot one could do other then take medication such as diet and lifestyle changes.
DBT and CBT, yoga, working out regularly, The Work by Byron Katie, morning and evening routine, walks and talks with friends new and old, time spent in nature or with a pet, (hell, walk and talk with your pet or just talk to a random cat. Usually they love this!)
And please try be easy on yourself. Look in the mirror if you can, morning and night. Say nice things to yourself. That you’re not your illness. And tell yourself that you know the difference between your stuff and other people’s stuff. That you’re so pleased that you’re working in such a smart way on yourself.
You see the more we can show up for ourselves in ways like this, the less anxiety we will have because we grow in self esteem and confidence by doing and achieving and being there for ourselves.
I think the most powerful statement we can use is “I’m willing to release the pattern in me that created this illness or dis-ease.” because it’s saying that the ability to choose to heal has been made. You’re putting the power in your own hands and this has tremendous weight and impact, absolutely enormous because when we decide to do something, heaven and earth will move aside.
One thing that may get in the way is wanting greatness right away. But don’t let this perfectionism stop you from doing something GOOD. Good is enough. Good a beginning. Good is the path to greatness.
Do you have any questions?
it’s really difficult not to think about other people unfortunately but ill try walks with my pet because im sure she would love that too :) im really am hard on myself but I’ll try to be nicer <33
You don’t have to control your thoughts and beliefs. Just your response to your thoughts and beliefs. Spending time watching your thoughts is a good exercise. Like people watching or cloud watching - see them passing by.
Also if you are busy doing things like walking your pet, drinking tea and coffee mindfully, reading or doing breathing exercises, then each thing you do increases your ability to choose how you will respond to your thoughts.
Don't complicate it. Just do it. If it’s too difficult to deal with the emotions arising, then find a counsellor or therapist or support group who can help. Don’t sabotage yourself by biting off your nose to spite your face.
Questions?
If you hit a belief that is deeply ingrained, say to yourself, mentally or out loud:
I’m willing to release the pattern in me that created this belief.
When we make powerful statements we are ordering from the universe what we want.
Then we must just relax and sit back and let it come.
You may need to have this conversation and state and remind yourself that you’re in control many, many times before it becomes true for you.
Keep at it.
Some beliefs and thoughts are changed very quickly.
Others need to be chipped away at.
The place to start is with the idea that you can.
I don't think it matters a ton. Maybe it will give you some relief and self acceptance but it might also give you an excuse to stop trying and to decide you can't heal. I personally believe mental "illness" is a person who is suffering and the truth is that it really is self inflicted. With practice and hard work, you can release the pain and heal. I don't think you are "weird" to have emotions. I think those who can repress and deny their emotions are the unhealthy ones. Sure, there are people that have beliefs and attitudes that create positive emotions for them, but that is totally possible and obtainable for anyone! Including you!
