Bipolar disorder and lost
I’ve suffered from this for 18 years. I’m medicated but want to talk to a therapist. I can’t find anything online that accepts my insurance. I’m so lost and feel like I’m failing my family. We are financially struggling because I cannot get myself to go to work. When I wake up I’m happy and motivated and then it just dwindles away and I’m exhausted all day. I cannot stay motivated. All I want is to get better and I need advice from others with this disorder on how to get through the day and work, do household chores, just feel somewhat more “normal”

That's how I felt for years just wanted to do the basics I saw others doing, nothing fancy!
After years and years of TX of different sorts I found DBT. For me it gave me the structure I still need. You can Google. There are self help options if money is a.factor, actually there is a dbt path on here. I have not checked it out yet. New here.
The diary cards are what provide me the opportunity to structure my day. I was a mess before this
Lots.of coping skills too
It's great you want a therapist
take care.
I'm sure others will have other ideas too
@resourcefulPrune5259It sounds really hard to feel stuck like this. You’re not failing—you're doing your best in a tough situation. Keep trying to find a therapist; sometimes calling your insurance or local clinics can help. Breaking tasks into small steps can make things feel more manageable. You're not alone, and it’s okay to ask for support. Keep reaching out.
I totally understand where your coming from, it was a daily chore for me to get out of the bed this past summer but now I'm better, did you get a referral
