Feeling left behind
I'm feeling left behind; I'm only 21 and some of my old high school friends are already married. Others are publishing research papers at their University. Many are traveling the world and going on these group trips with friends. Then there's me; I'm at home working on a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and binge watching Lost. I know that I'm not doing impressive things as those people above but I'm having a hard time feeling motivated to do any of that; And I know I shouldn't compare myself to others, my life to theirs or my success but I really can't help it. Most times I wish I was raised differently. Maybe then I wouldn't have trust issues, maybe I would be the one married at 21. If I wasn't so introverted, maybe I'd have longer battery life to be the life of the party. Maybe if I was more driven I could be the one credited in a prestigous research article. But the truth is, this is who I am. There's no exchanging my flaws, even though I want to so badly at times.
Anyways, I'll get there when I get there. In my own time.

Feeling left behind is not a good feeling
