Hypocrisy (Dr & Patient)
I was diagnosed as schizophrenic at the age of 18 -been medicated pretty much ever since.
My biggest pet peeve with this diagnosis is the fact I have heard many folks say they "talk to spirits & hear voices" yet they say they are not diagnosed nor medicated.
I see it in celebrities: sylvia brown, johnathan edwards, etc.
I have always interpreted these "spirits" as normal for all people. But yet I mention this to my dr. and he increases my medication (which, in turn makes me unconnected to spirituality, sleep all day, and no longer capable of enjoying my day-to-day).
What are your thoughts on this?
Being medicated makes me less spiritually connected, less enjoyment for the present/future, etc.
I learned early-on to not speak of spirits/spirituality/enlightenment or esp. religion!
Conclusion?
I have a means to manipulate those spirits using a word I came up with out of thin-air (way back in 2007). I did not know its potential until 8 years later.
I read it backwards and was reminded of the "REDRUM" scene in the movie "The Shining".
This word has 3 elements: 2 imaginary people, imaginary nationality, imaginary city.
It helps me stay focused. My mood is no longer manipulated by "spirits".
I'd love to help.
PS- it only works if I remember to keep my breathing slow because of the link between anger and breathing
Hi @BGv751,
It’s good to know that you are in control with your inner voices and spirits. But if you are undergoing some medication it’s important to follow it as prescribed. The doctor knows better.
It’s when we start to become doctors we screw it up for ourselves. Of course you will feel drowsy and disconnected with the spirits. It’s meant to bring you down to reality and no one likes that.
But imagine if these same spirits starts to haunt you and give you paranoid thoughts! It would become more dangerous. So it’s best to get another opinion from a different doctor and stick to the prescription!
Never play around with the prescribed medicines follow it to the T!
I am taking the meds as prescribed. Where did I say otherwise?
My point was the fact i can not bring-up spirits or imaginary friends without dr increasing my meds (way above than a moderate dose) and telling me I'm crazy.
When in fact, the tv is overwhelmed with loonies who claim to hear voices & talk to spirits.
You are grossly misinterpreting my post.
Hey @BGv751,
Sorry for misinterpreting your post, I thought you were not taking your medicines as prescribed. Because the voices and spirit you are talking about should not be coming up if the medicine dosage is correct.
Again you have told me that the doctor has increased the medication when you have told him about it.
My request to you is keep telling the doctor the reality of your condition don’t hide assuming he will increase the dosage. If he does then it is needed that’s why.
I wish you get all better soon! Keep at it brother!!
I am a near to full recovery right now, happenned majorly due to meds, they take time to act on the brain and online media is full of negativity of not curing things, please keep taking meds. U will recover or atleast near to full recovery, this won't go this hard throughout your life, i assure you.
