There is hope!
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to write this here because I hope that someone who needs to read this will read this and know that there really is hope and that things can get better 😊❤️
So, I'm 26. I've been suffering from psychosis for almost my whole life (since I was about 5), but I suffered silently, no one knew until I broke down in high school and finally told someone about my hallucinations and horrible stuff that's been going on. So I've been in treatment for almost 10 years now.
I've been hospitalized 6 times and also went to day treatment program 7 times for 3 months. I've always felt like there's no hope. But luckily, 5 years ago, I've met a person who taught me that there's always hope and that it's worth the fight. So I actually started fighting my disorder.
And with time, it got better and better! 😊 I managed to graduate and get a full time job as a special education teacher. My life finally had meaning. I started using writing as a coping mechanism and years later I have 5 published books and am currently working on a new project 📖❤️
At the beginning of this year, I finally got what I was hoping for for so long - my psychiatrist started to lower my medication dose. Now I take only one pill and she told me that she believes that soon we're gonna remove that also and that she'll remove even the diagnosis 😁❤️
Trust me, if I learned anything from my experience, it's the fact that it really is worth the fight. And even if I still have the diagnosis, it won't matter... What will matter is that I did my best to live my life to the fullest! That's what I wish for each and every one of you ❤️
@SPNFamilyForever This is one of the best things I have read all day. I'm so extremely proud of you and, trust me when I say this, I'm celebrating you and your accomplishments.
You show me that you are more than your diagnosis and that is soooo true! I am so happy that you have chosen to come and share your story with us. I'm happy to see that you have found purpose in life and that things are working in your favor. You surely deserve it! I wish you much continued happiness. Keep on working on yourself and all parts that make you...
You are amazing, hands down! ♡☆ I hope you have a beautiful day! Xoxo.
Thank you sooo much for your kindness and support! ❤️
