Venting it out (trigger warning)

I’m so tired, I’ve thought about checking myself into a hospital. I’m tired of hearing a voice shout at me things I won’t discuss out of respect for you guys who may be dealing with the same. I’m getting these nightmares every single night.

I've always felt that people are trying to harm me in some way for a long time now. Everything and anything odd like a car parked out in front of the house to checking my car for microphones. I’m just so tired. I wish I had friends, or someone who could just understand. I never want to be a burden so I’ve kept all this to myself, until recently I decided to talk with a doctor. I’m in this new job and feeling zero optimism. There are times where I feel nothing at all, and I’m just staring at a computer screen. I’m struggling and could really use some advice or support you guys. 😔

@scorpioNov I'm not sure I have advice really, but I can relate. I was hospitalized earlier this year for voices and paranoia similar to what you describe. I have bipolar 1. If you want to chat, I'm here :)

I’m so sorry you are suffering from voices which are bothering you. I understand how distressing of an experience it can be and to feel so hurt by this condition.

There are solutions and psychosis can respond to healing. Be sure to practice good self-care and watch how much stress you have in your life.

Do you have any local universities that may study CBTp or research CBTp or other related psychotherapies for psychosis or with psychosis in mind? Also, a highly skilled therapist in this area will be able to help you maintain some control over your symptoms.

You can also look into therapies yourself if you’re interested and there’s a lot of information online. There’s also support groups in some local areas designated for psychosis.

You may want to look into therapies yourself neuroscience surrounding psychosis to get a sense of how scientists understand psychotic experiences to be possible. If cultural or religious explanations are more of your thing there are humanistic therapies which may encompass those beliefs too.

Hope you feel better and can come to a place where you feel comfortable in your mind and body. It is possible and I just want to send healing your way!
