Risperidone

So let me be clear, I do not have schizophrenia, bipolar or any type of psychotic disorder, but I was prescribed risperidone for chronic headaches that I’ve been suffering from daily. My body is very sensitive to medications and I’ve definitely felt the side effects from this one. I just wanted to see if anyone else could relate. I’ve experienced the following:

sweating

memory lapses

feeling hot

fatigue

akathisia

speech problems

anxiety

but most troubling - some pretty bad depression.

Has anyone else experienced this? Perhaps, since I’m using it in an “off-label” fashion, that would make sense as my normal, healthy dopamine levels are being dampened.

Can anyone relate? Cheers.

I used to take this medication. I had a really bad reaction to it.. I can’t recall the reactions but I was taken off immediately.

@courteousTiger5834 I used to use Risperidone, then I stopped voluntarily. I have psychosis, borderline Schizophrenia so I was given Risperidone and an anti-depressant because I had symptoms of depression.

Anyway, the drug left me weak, tired, depressed, and walking like the living dead. I had a lot of panic attacks, crazy headaches, and I would sleep for almost 20hours a day. It was a terrible experience.
