Confused about my future career
I don't know what I want to do with my life. How does a person find their purpose and apply it to their career?
@calmwinterbreeze
I don't think a purpose and career have to align. Your life's purpose may change over time and it's perfectly valid, in my opinion, to have no purpose. I certainly don't. On the other hand, the world of work evolves so rapidly now (and will continue to) that you may have different careers throughout your life.
In considering a career (or at least to clarify that type of work that you would like to pursue), consider the following:
- What types of things do you like to do?
- What kinds of things do have an aptitude for?
- What kind of work environment do you prefer?
- How much flexibility do you want in your job and work environment?
- Based on the life you are seeking, what kind of financial resources are required?
- What jobs/careers offer salaries that will meet your needs?
You don't need to figure this out right away. It's completely okay to have some detours in your career. Almost everyone does.
I don't know if this helps, but I hope so.

You are not alone many people do not know what they want to do..
Some try things that interest them or chase a career that seems to pay well even if they do not like or are good at it. Many people find their purpose by chance, or you try new things and find their passion or calling.
Hello, I'm glad that post is here. I'm between jobs as well seeking for a new way to survive. Do you think when we are without jobs, this stress is a depression, sadness, what is this emotion when you feel lost without a job, without incomes?
