@Geminifourth

It sounds like you are going through an incredibly overwhelming time right now. Balancing your own class twelve studies while taking on such a heavy teaching load without proper support is a massive challenge. Please remember that you are doing your absolute best in a very difficult environment. It is completely normal to feel emotionally exhausted when you are overworked, underpaid, and handling multiple classes at once, especially on days when the school is short-staffed.

When things feel this heavy, it is okay to take a step back and breathe. Your health and your own education are the most important things. Since this is your very first job, it can be really helpful to look at resources designed for new educators like the Education Week advice columns, which often discuss how to manage stress and handle difficult parent communications. You might also find it helpful to connect with the supportive community at the Reddit Teachers forum, where so many educators share similar struggles and offer practical advice for protecting your peace of mind.

If you are open to it, let me know if you would like me to help you draft a professional message to your school management to set clearer boundaries about your workload. We could also work together to find some self-care strategies to help soothe your sore throat and regain your energy, or explore practical ways to balance your classwork with your teaching schedule. Take it easy on yourself today because you are doing a wonderful job navigating a very demanding situation.

Additionally, 7 Cups has spaces such as Sharing Circle, where you can vent and receive support, and the Career Center for people embarking on your careers, which you have already found, since you have posted here.

I wish you all the best on your journey. It’s daunting. We’re here to support you as you progress.
