Leadership Struggling

Hi,

I am a senior director and I have 5 managers that report to me. Each manager has their own team that reports to them.

One of those managers has been struggling. They are frustrated, as is their team below them. The manager agreed to me co-managing the team for the month so the manager can have the bandwidth to get the training and practice they need to fill their knowledge gaps.

How do I present this to the team so as not to disenfranchise the manager in any way?

@00Pandamonium

Hi Pandamonium,

we can’t really give you advice here. No one knows your situation better than yourself and advice could do more harm than good.

I think most people would understand that a person in a leadership position could struggle. It’s a lot of responsibility to manage a team.

Hope it all works out okay and wish you and your team all the best.

Are you able to speak with HR? They might have a better perspective in how to handle your situation. It's quite a tricky scenario you gave here, very difficult for us to comment much about it. Sorry, and I hope you can find a solution soon~
