Leadership Struggling

...See more Hi, I am a senior director and I have 5 managers that report to me. Each manager has their own team that reports to them. One of those managers has been struggling. They are frustrated, as is their team below them. The manager agreed to me co-managing the team for the month so the manager can have the bandwidth to get the training and practice they need to fill their knowledge gaps. How do I present this to the team so as not to disenfranchise the manager in any way?

...See more Hey everyone, My bf of 3 years, whom I had been living with for the past year, decided about a month and a half ago that he wanted to go on a "break". He has told me several times that it's not related to me, that he lives me and intends for us to stay together, but that he needs time alone to figure out the rest of his life. I love him more than anything. I never really believed in "true love" or "the one" or any of that until I met him. My entire world view changed. You know how they say, "when you know, you'll know"? Well, I knew..pretty much from day one. I want to support him through this time. I want to be here for him and I want so badly for this all to work out. But I'm terrified. He's not just the love of my life, he's my best friend..my only friend. But I'm losing my mind. I have had major mood swings, terrible anxiety, and if I don't keep myself busy, my thoughts spiral out of control and scare me. I cry all the time now, especially since it's the holiday season. I cannot get out of my head. I'm losing control. I'm scared.

...See more We have been on a "break" now for about a month and a half. He says he wants us to be together. He says he loves me. He says he just needs to be alone to figure out the rest of his life. I want to support him through whatever this is, but every day we are apart is killing me. I never knew I could hurt like this. I love him with every fiber of my being and i knew from the beginning that we were meant to be together. I am just feeling so discouraged and hurt and drained.

Distractions

...See more Hey guys! My bf and I are on "a break" at the time. He felt he needed time and space to figure some things out in his life. I believe he is going through some sort of quarter life crisis or a mild depression. I am determined to stand by, support him, and help him in whatever way he needs. Even if that means sacrificing my own happiness for a little while until he is better. But I am having a hard time focusing my energy. Every time I try to distract myself, I quickly lose focus and end up just thinking about him, which triggers me to get lost in my own head and I start to spiral out if control emotionally. Family and friends just keep telling me to move on and forget him, but I know in my heart that I am meant to be with him.so, I've come here to look for support and help with ideas on how to stay occupied.

We are on a "break"

...See more My bf of 3 years, whom I was living with, decided about a month ago that he wanted to go on a break. I believe he is going through a quarter life crisis or a mild depression or something, so I respect his decision and am doing my best to give him the space he needs. We've now been on a break for about 1 month. But I'm struggling on my end. I feel the need to talk to someone about the situation and 7 cups has helped me a lot. However, I'm getting a stronger and stringer urge to reach out to his family to see what they think of all this (my family is just pushing me to move on). So my question is, is it weird to reach out to his family about our break?

What is a "break" and does it ever work out for a couple?

...See more My boyfriend of 3 years, whom I was living with, told me that he wanted a "break" about a month ago now. I'm not sure I even really understand what that means. But for the first 2 weeks, he talked to me every day. Now, he hasn't spoken to me in 2 weeks. I am so torn right now. I believe he is going through a mild depression. So I want to support and help him through it. But I know with every fiber of my being that we are meant to be together. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I don't want to lose him either. I don't really have any friends. For the last 3 years, he has been there to love and support me. I didn't see this coming at all and now I don't know what to think.
