Lost Job

Im a 33 years old woman. Lost both parents. My siblings married and have their own life and problems. I live alone with my cat in our old house. My landlord is very nice and a friend of my dad. I lost my job after a relapsed. My family wanted me to move out cause I don't have a job and can't pay the rent. They wanted to send me to live with my aunt and cousin. I don't want to move out. The house makes me feel at home and my landlord wanted me to stay.

It's been already 3 months without paying the rent. And with this demotivated feeling from my family keep pushing me out from the house makes me feel messy and depressed. Finding a job isn't easy and I'm still trying to find a job and making commissions online. But it's not enough to pay the rent yet since I just started.

I feel tired and lost and homeless. I feel like I have no one to talk to. No positive feedback to encourage me to keep going. Cause time moves on, and my family expect results. They say they are my safety net, but I feel like I'm free falling, just waiting to hit the ground.

So, here I am... Sending a thread to feel seen. To get some motivation from strangers.

I'm so so tired... I wish I can just sleep and sleep and continue on sleeping.

@tealBlackberry9303 I empathize with you and I see you. I'm so sorry you're feeling the way you do. But here's the thing-- there's a difference between feeling and doing. As you mentioned, bills don't stop. They keep coming and reoccurring month after month. I understand you not wanting to leave your old home. That's your safe place. Perhaps your siblings understand this too, but they just want what's best for you especially if it's hard to manage the living expenses. I really hope that you find a good job that you can love, thrive, and succeed one. One that pays well where you can live comfortably and happy. I'm wishing you all the positive vibes your way and wishing you all the best in all aspects of your life! I hope everything works out for you! Please keep the faith and keep trying. Keep being persistent. Keep on doing the best you can no matter how much of a struggle it may be. ❤️ Please take care of yourself and good luck to ya! Xoxo.

@tealBlackberry9303i really want to thank you for being so brave and sharing your truth here. I can truly feel the weight of what you’re carrying—it sounds incredibly exhausting to be fighting for a job and making commissions, all while feeling like your 'safety net' at home is actually pushing you away.

Please know that it’s completely valid to feel messy and tired right now. You described it perfectly as 'free falling,' and I want you to know that I’m here to sit with you in that space so you don’t have to hit the ground alone. The fact that you've already started making commissions while feeling this depressed is honestly a huge testament to your strength, even if it doesn't feel like enough to pay the rent yet.
You aren't just a stranger to me—you are someone who deserves to be seen and heard. I’m right here with you, and I’m more than happy to listen whenever you're ready to share more about what’s on your mind. You don't have to keep a brave face here.

@tealBlackberry9303

You are at difficult stage of your life, so you definitely need to be heard and understood! You are in the right place.

Nearly every human in the world goes through such moments when it seems like there is nowhere else to fall. And what they forget, blurred by emotions that even when is nowhere else to fall they still alive and have a hidden resource for a push!

It’s worth to slow down , take a break to be able to accept things as they are , without comparing them to what was expected or to other people.

At some point you will see - it’s not that bad, you were worried for nothing.

You have enough power to solve all issues but only with order in your head 🙏🏽

Hi my situation is different but I feel like it is conjuring up the same feelings you have.

I was told if I didn't get my average handling time down by this coming week I would be let go.....I just had minor surgery and go back to work Tuesday. So this will be my last week. I used to have a career but now cant handle it anymore. I have no motivation to learn anything much less do anything.

I am dependent on my older sister who has not a clue what I am going through.. I am 60, have 2 dogs and no one to talk to. And no money saved either. I feel panicked.

Im glad you have some kind of gig to work on.

I have found I am super hard on myself and have learned that I need to give myself some grace......as you should too. You are doing the best you can thats all you can ask from yourself.....Family has never been there for me or even acts like I exist.

I sleep alot too....its the only peace I can get.

Im trying to think of one tiny thing I could do right now to feel even the slightest bit better.....if I think of one ill share....

@tealBlackberry9303 Your current state is a normal reaction to being overwhelmed. Your relatives are pressuring you because they're afraid, but their fears aren't your responsibility. If you want to stay in this house, focus solely on your income. To avoid wasting your last energy on endlessly reviewing job postings, use https://www.liftmycv.com/ . It simplifies your job search because a good resume often opens doors we never even thought of. Pull yourself together and take one small step a day. You can do it.
