Work & Career Community: Announcement
Hi everyone,

We're excited to announce the launch of our brand new Work & Career community here at 7 Cups! Work is a major part of our lives, and it can often be challenging and stressful. Choosing a career path comes with its own challenges, but you don’t have to be alone as you figure it out. That's why we've created a safe and supportive space where you can connect with others who are going through similar experiences.
In this community, we'll be discussing a wide range of topics related to work and careers, including burnout, changing jobs, and work-related stress. We'll be sharing tips and strategies for managing these challenges, and we'll also be here to listen and offer support when you need it most.
Since specific career types have their own unique challenges to navigate, we are inviting you to feel empowered to request topics for your career topic! An example topic currently available is a space for engineers to connect and share their experiences. We believe that creating these specialized communities will allow us to provide even more tailored support to each other. Interested in starting a new career topic? Please PM @SoulfullyAButterfly so that we can support your ideas.

Hey I'm Dal, I have tried many things so far in my career from publishing poetry to managing a resort to interior decorating.
I'm certified in around 20 things and continue learning almost daily.
Right now I have scholarships to college and university courses that I'm struggling to complete due to grief fog and other factors such as environment and genetic.
I'm cultivating inspiration and learning to process the past and stay focused in the present so appreciate anyone grounded and solid and wise enough to support, advise and give advice along the way.
@SoulfullyAButterfly wow! I am so happy to see this. Having a community to support work related stress or issues is a wonderful idea. Thank you for coming up with this
Hi... I'm a mother of 6 month old baby girl.. This is my first child.. I am working as a software engineer. I am on maternity leave now and I am very much stressed about going back to work and managing baby and other chores.. Looking forward for support on the same. Thanks!
I am a Certified Surgical Technician of 17 years, I started my death doula training, and had to put that on the back burner because of work stress, burnout, domestic violence, and a divorce.
I will be finishing that, and starting over at a new hospital in a little over a week. Once I get settled, I am seriously considering going back to college, advocating for women in domestic violence situations, whatever degree I can get, I WANT IT. Mental health, social work, nursing, any suggestions? I am turning 47 on March 8th. I feel like an old dog, but I can still learn new tricks!!! I have finally found my passion and purpose in my life, and I am going to be a part of making positive changes

I think this is going to be a wonderful community. I work in the medical field but I'll be retiring after over 44 years in this occupation in less than two years. I hope everyone who works gets the help they are looking for in this community. At my age, what I would like to see is a sub-community for those 60 and over. We are a growing group here on Cups. ❤️
@xandia I agree that would be a wonderful edition,
Very excited about this community!
My name's Liz and I'm a new biologist for a non-profit. This is technically my "first" job as a permanent employee after so many years working as a seasonal technician. There's quite a few differences between the two jobs that I'll need to adjust to, so having this community to fall back on will be very helpful. ^^

Hi! I'm CalmSky, and I joined this group because I recently graduated college but im feeling a little lost because I still don't know what I want to do. In college I was able to figure out what I don't want to do, so that's good, but I want to try so many different things. The areas I have experience in, I don't want to work in. I got a psychology degree so I can do a lot of different things with that, but I could use some support in my journey figuring it out and not beating myself up about not having all the answers yet.
