Think of your brain as a muscle: the more you use it, the stronger and more flexible it becomes. Learning something new is the ultimate mental workout. It keeps your mind sharp and actually builds new neural pathways, paving the way for fresh ideas and perspectives. The benefits of actively learning one new thing each day go on and on. And with the vastness of the internet at our fingertips, there's really no excuse not to!
Recently, I've been challenging myself to find new information every day so that by the time I go to bed, I can say I learned something. I usually share this tidbit with my partner, both to solidify the knowledge in my head and to give them something new!
And I thought it would be a great idea to expand the knowledge pool and challenge our community:
Every day, learn something new and share it here in this thread. It doesn't have to be a groundbreaking scientific discovery, merely a factoid, a wellness tip, a song, life lesson, or a revelation about yourself!

Today I've learned to say to myself “Only I know how to draw and life in my own unique ways. I work to learn to trust I have a place too, not to compare myself to other people's standards”
Today I've learnt that communication is the key to a healthy relationship. It's easy to create a bias owing to past confusion. Hence, it's important to confront people for their misdeeds for it could have been made unconsciously.

Today I learned that Neptune radiates more heat than it receives from the Sun, about 2.6 times more.

Today I learned that there is such a thing as a walking onion. It's a perennial so once planted, it comes back year after year. So, that's not even the most interesting part....
The fun factoid is that the onion seems to actually walk around your garden, lol 😊. Original bulb is planted, grows a stalk and then little baby onions form on the tips of the growth and weigh the stalk over. It's self seeding and you can see how it "walks" by moving around and planting more of itself, all on it's own. Fascinating! 😲

Today I learned that chipmunks can run up trees. I honestly never thought about it before. I mean, I knew chipmunks could get around and I know about their tunnel apartment complex under the ground, but I never saw one run up a tree before today.
