Henry David Thoreau in his book Walden where he wrote about his own experiences living over two years in a cabin in the woods.
And Levi Ackerman from the Anime Attack on Titan. Not necessarily his childhood (mine was very happy) but I can resonate with his character and “cleaning obsession”.
