What's the last book you quit reading, and why?

I usually don't quit what I am reading but once it happened to me to start a book and to leave it for some time on the night-table before finishing the reading, because it had many descriptions that were quite impacting... it's an italian book nobody surely knows: Il Visconte Dimezzato. It has its teaching and wiseness, but yeah.....the descriptions 😱
