How do you practice gratitude?

I would practice gratitude by having a journal where I write down things that I'm thankful for each day. I would take my time to think about all the good things that happened during my day. When I meet my close ones, I also tell them how much I appreciate my day.

I believe that even when we're going through tough times, finding something to be grateful for can help us feel better and see things in a positive way.

What about you? How do you usually practice gratitude?😊

@kindEyes9789 Thank you so much for this wonderful, positivity post! ♡ I, too, have a positivity and gratitude journal that I use. I try and write in it daily but, you know, life... lol. Sometimes it just seems like there isn't enough hours in a day when I get caught up on things. But even still, I'm always extremely grateful for what each day brings. There is so much beauty in my world that I have a lot to be thankful for. I have to say reading your post was soo refreshing. And you are totally right--- there is something to be thankful for even on the days we may struggle to find something. Having a grateful heart begins with the mindset to want to do better, think better, feel better about life. We can write it down or say it aloud. Both of which are excellent. I love to wrote so I can see it. ♡ Doesn't even have to be "big"... it can be something as simple as being thankful for life itself or the stars. ♡ Hope you have a great day and thank you for this post. I will be sure to jot my gratitude for the day. :)

@kindEyes9789,

@YourCaringConfidant, hello there , just wanted to peek and let you know that sharing your ways to practice gratitude has helped me. I am very new at writing gratitude letters. I try to do it everyday , but like kind mentioned, life 🐱. But I make a mental note of everything I got to have if possible. There is definitely something to be greatful even during that darkest nights like starts!! Looks up at sky after a busy day is so soothing. It amuses me how we'll set nature is to make us feel comfy when needed

@Emerbliss That was such a beautiful read and you're so right. That's the beauty with this thing we call life. We can't even explain it. It just is. I'm so glad you make mental notes. You have a lot to be thankful for. Not long after I replied to Kind, I stopped by Subway on my way home and I was in line waiting to pay. The lady said the car in front of me paid for my meal and I just broke down crying . 😢 My heart was so full that it couldn't take it. I was so thankful and touched by that stranger. Took it as my sign and plan on paying it forward! ♡ Hope you have a beautiful day! ♡

@kindEyes9789

I have tried daily Gratitude lists but I never develop any real sense of gratitude, at least not in the emotional sense.

@Gettingbettertoday Hello there! Thank you for sharing your experience with me. It's totally okay if daily gratitude lists haven't brought you that emotional sense of gratitude you're looking for. We all have different ways of connecting with our emotions and finding what works best for us.

Sometimes, focusing on specific things or moments that truly touch our hearts can help us develop that sense of gratitude. It could be something as simple as spending time with loved ones, playing with a pet, or enjoying a beautiful sunset. Exploring what resonates with you personally can make a big difference.

No worries, gratitude is a journey, and it's unique to each person. It might take some time to find what truly sparks that emotional sense of gratitude within you. I hope you can keep exploring different ways, like writing or talking about what you're thankful for, and see what resonates with your heart the most.

Let's keep seeking those special moments that bring us joy and a genuine sense of gratitude. I wish you a day filled with happiness and discoveries! 😊🌼

I don’t like lists. I don’t like making it a daily rote practice. For me it’s better as a just in time practice - When I notice I’m feeling depressed or angry it’s a reminder to practice gratitude.

@hopefulPond6108 Hi there! I'm making this post so I can hear all your opinions and be engaging. I hope you don't mind. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It's great to hear that you have your own unique way of practicing gratitude. I totally understand that making lists or doing them as a daily routine might not be your cup of tea. And that's absolutely okay!

It's awesome that you have a "just in time" practice. When you notice that you're feeling depressed or angry, using gratitude as a reminder is a fantastic idea. It can help shift your focus from negative emotions to positive things in your life. I hope that the gratitude you've made can bring you comfort and remind you of the good things, especially when you need them the most.

Everyone is different, and it's important to find what works best for you. Let me know if you've found your own special way to practice gratitude, and I'll celebrate it with you! Thank you for sharing your perspective. I wish you many moments of positivity and gratitude throughout your day! 😊🌈
