What do you guys like to do for self-care?

For me it's watching memes, play some animal crossing or read a good book and reflect on the good things that happened that week 💕

Reading a book sounds awesome.

My self care varies from day to day. But I would make a whole day plan. Like I would bath, do this and that without being interrupted. Just all about me for a whole day.

Self care is taking care of ourselves making sure we're healthy, shining and the latest updated version of ourselves, I like to image self care as five different cups with different levels of water

Physical Self-Care

Includes taking care of our physical body such as bathing, brushing our teeth, doing our hair.

Emotional Self-Care

Includes acknowledging and tending your emotions such as discovering goals, staying focused on the present, practicing gratitude, asking for support e.t.c.

Social Self-Care

Includes engaging in positive and supportive relationships such as giving a call or text to a loved one or a friend, joining a group/club, spending time with a pet, communicate or forming friendships online/ IRL.

Cognitive Self-Care

Includes learning, reading, reflecting, getting curious.

Spiritual Self-Care

Includes having a purpose in life. Such as practicing compassion, mindfulness, gratitude, expressing ourselves in healthy ways, Journaling, reflecting on our values and beliefs

And whenever we spend time on self-care, we fill up a cup. The key is recognizing which cup is empty and taking action to replenish it. In other words self care is like pouring water and keeping your cups leveled up.

Things to ask ourselves to recognize which cup is empty:

● How full do I feel right now, when it comes to each cup?

● Is there a cup which feels particularly empty right now?

Thinking of an action that could replenish our cup with ideally something that we could act on it right away. It doesn't have to be something big, expensive or complex. What matters is us, simply showing up for ourselves and our needs.

@Ninziesss

Reading a good book (usually an autobiography), going for a long walk with my dogs, meeting a friend for coffee, a bit of retail therapy, or a nice meal out somewhere nice.
