Any Balkan people here? Serbs, Crotaians, Macedonians... ?

Hi Elizabeth! I am from former Yugoslavia. I was born in what is today croatia. My nationality is Serbian. But I lived in croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia. What I love about Serbia is my people. We have this thing called “prkos.” Sort of a pride or maybe foolishness. No matter how much big powers try to put us down we don’t sell out. When the ottomans came and wanted to conquer us, we preserved Christianity, when nazis were executing us we were shouting out death to fascism, when nato bombed us... we got out on the streets and bridges to protect our infrastructure with our bodies while we were singing and dancing. And even after all of that, there people that look rough on the outside are the most hospitable people in the world. When you go to your neighbors house for a daily coffee you don’t have to make an appointment... you just show up... and while people are people and still gossip about each other etc... when in need everybody is willing to help out... and to fair, I have traveled to other places around the world and most of the people are good... sometimes social norms are different... but overall everybody loves good food good laugh and to see their family happy...

I’m from the Balkans. I’m from Greece but I have some type of relations with Serbia. My dad was there in May to see his favorite team, Olympiacos. He spent a week in Belegrade and he liked it a lot. Then I have an adopted uncle from the war in Yugoslavia who is from Bosnia. Lastly I know how to say good morning in serbian —> Dobra Eutro 😭. That’s all
