Hello everyone!

What languages can you all speak, and could you teach us one word from one of the languages you speak?

I’ll start: flower in Mandarin is 花 🌼

I speak English and Spanish, but I grew up around German and was married to someone who spoke Russian, Yiddish and Hebrew so I learned some of that. I also studied Japanese and know a few things in Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Cambodian.

Oishii means delicious in Japanese. I love that word.

I have learned a little Portuguese! My Spanish professor always made sure we knew similar phrases. I also love Bossa Nova music so I'd love to learn more!

I speak Dutch, English and some German, French and Norwegian.

I love the word 'levensvreugde' in Dutch. It means 'the joy of being alive'. Always makes me smile when I hear someone say it!
