Nidi di rondine (swallow's nests) are a traditional baked pasta dish originating from the small European Republic of San Marino. They consist of fresh lasagna sheets rolled with béchamel sauce, ham, and cheese (typically Fontina and Parmesan), then sliced into spirals, baked, and arranged to resemble a nest.
