If only it was that easy .... some people do things to kids that no one can understand

i know in some ways talking to another mom they may be able to guess some motivation she may have had but it would only be a guess.....   There is no how to book / manual that comes with a child and books are all over the place on what to do ..... many parents make errors and mistakes and may be repeating things that happened to them when they grew up..... so many possibilities
