Can anyone help me deal with study related anxiety? It affects me really badly... I can't get anything done which makes me feel horrible later... I want to exit this loop but I can't..

@hadaina

😔

I'm really sorry that you are struggling with this.

It can be so stressful.

What works for me, is breaking things down into small and manageable chunks, this allows you to take the stress out if it, see progress, and build your confidence.

And also taking breaks is great.

You can only do your best 🩵

@hadaina you can listen to music that helps me

@hadaina

Usually, some music, especially classical or instrumental, can create a calm environment. Also, creating a relaxing environment can help, for example, by lighting a candle or using a lamp. Then, having your favorite drink nearby. And even chewing gum or a mint can help be a distraction for the nerves. 🙂 Because sometimes creating a cozier environment can calm down nerves.

@hadaina I have this kind of anxiety not about studying but, about cleaning my house that has gotten completely out of hand. I’m depressed and I hate cleaning this house.  I have to break it down into little tasks and reward myself if I accomplished something like, getting my dining room table halfway cleared off from piles of old mail and everything else under the sun.  Looking at it halfway cleared kind of motivates me to get the other half cleared and rewarded myself by giving my table a new look.

What works for some may not work for others.  I would rather do your studies than clean my house.😆

You CAN DO THIS!  Set a 15 min timer if you need to. Break it down in increments.

i wish you all the BEST!!

Use your mind to focus in your body anatomy, or even just thinking in the sizes, texture, color, or your breath helps to relax yourself. It is use in military.

@hadaina

I'm really sorry that you are struggling with this and that you can't exit the loop. I too struggle with anxiety and so I really sympathise and understand you.

What works for me and my anxiety, is doing mindfulness practice and journalling how I feel 3 times a day. That really helps me to take a step back and see things from a different perspective and how anxiety affects me. This also help with confidence building too and speaking to yourself like you would with a friend.

You can only do so much and honestly I think you are already just trying your best ☺️❤️ Take care of yourself and any time you feel unsure or want support, people on this community are more than happy to listen ❤️ We're here for you

I had this when I was doing my exams before I could get into university. The pressure was immense and I made myself incredibly anxious over studying. Truthfully the only thing that helped me in that time was meditation
