I have no idea, knowing those names, but it made me think of case endings in some languages eg Latin or Slovenian. In some languages the ending if nouns, including names, changes depending on the context. In this way to can say things like "to Jim", "for Jim", "with 2 Jims" Etc, just by changing the ending eg Jimu, Jimi, Jima, Jimom etc
