Crazy Rich Asian hype. Are Asians really like that?
As you know the movie Crazy Rich Asians have gained so much popularity since it went out on theaters. My girlfriend forced me to watch it with her. It was a good movie let

I think the point of the movie was to make fun of stereotypes. I have also relocated your thread to a more appropriate section.
I'm an asian and I see that as somewhat true that our parents are strict. HAHAHAHAHA. But not all.
@joshk66 No. Don't forget that only shows ONE aspect of a particular group. Asians and Asian Americans are not a monolith.

Yes, asian parents can be strict (it really depends on the family too but i would say most are strict.).
So far, I've only seen from movies, dramas (TV series) about the mother will disown the son because the girlfriend is poor and stuff. Maybe there are so families out there that are like that for real.
I can say that in the movie it's more like a stereotype of Chinese parents. However Asia is really big and each country is really different from each other too so I really can't say what is Asian culture like... Every family is different too.

Dunno if it's legit, but people like that make me sick, the only reason I want to be a billionare is to give the money away to those who needs it, I'm not expecting to be able to feed the world but to help a lot atleast.
For the moment I'm not having any income cause my disability money was cut, and seeing these people spending several thousand dollars on a handbag is so sickening.
