England - CAMHS
Hi, just wondered if there are any teen listeners here from UK who have experience of CAMHS?
Know it's not a language but felt like best place for this post?!
@CalmCoral Hi Coral! I have some experience of CAMHS, even though I'm not a teen.
In fact, CAMHS is not a single thing. There are dozens of mental health trusts in England, and each one operates separate, and slightly different, services. The official name is now Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS), which is unpronounceable, but in some places the old name, CAMHS, is still used, and in some places the simpler CYPS is now used.
Everywhere has different waiting lists, contact numbers, and so on. Anyone reading this who wants to contact their local mental health services can call 111 (which works everywhere in England) and ask for the local contact number.

Never heard it called that, that's funny! Please may I pm you? All my support within camhs is crazy and causing more stress etc.

@CalmCoral Oh yes, a lot of NHS services are crazy and cause terrible stress, not just CAMHS 😭
