What was/is your second language?

Just figured this would be fun question to ask here to spur discussion.
So aside from the language we learn during our development, many of us have also acquired a second (or more) language.
For me, living in Texas when I did, my second language was and still is Spanish. Regrettably, although I used to be rather fluent in it, I did not keep studying. As such, I feel like I either lost a lot of what I learned, or that the language itself is locked away in my brain somewhere. And I just have to dig it out, haha.
So yeah, what was/is the second language you all picked up in your lives?
French. I speak English and Spanish as first languages.

A decent amount of Japanese from living in Japan for 4+ years, Spanish from studying it in university and out of my own interest, and a good amount of Portuguese from being with a Brazilian SO for a long time.
@sereneSunset26 Learning Japanese, even though it’s not at a very fast rate lol. I’ve wanted to travel to Japan for a long time! I’m focusing more on German right now because it is my gf’s first language and her parents only speak German so I felt it should take priority. Both really beautiful languages! Awesome prompt!

My second language is English, I'm from South Africa my home language is the first language is Sotho.
Hey! My first language is actually French. English is my second language.
I learnt English as a child watching movies, reading books, at school (in my primary school the English learning part wasn't great at all so not much there), and with my parents. English became my "escape path" as it gave me the opportunity to pass the entrance tests to get into an international school (and leave my horrible "normal" French school), so I became extremely dedicated to learning English... Here I am now! Ironically I now prefer speaking English with my friends... or the fun mix that we call "Franglish".
My mother tongue is Cantonese. After moving to Canada at a young age, I had to take ESL to learn English. I still speak Cantonese at home and with relatives. People say my English is fluent that they aren't able to tell that I'm Chinese without seeing my face. So, I guess I've got no accent. I taught myself Mandarin in my late teens to early 20s by watching Taiwanese Dramas. Amongst my family members (parents and older brother), my Mandarin is the best. I've continued to watch dramas in Mandarin, so, sometimes when I'm thinking about something, my thoughts will be in Mandarin. I find it quite funny. I also took some classes to learn Korean. Although I don't really speak it, but I can understand simple conversations and can read easily. Understanding what I read is another thing though, my vocabulary isn't broad enough to understand an entire paragraph. But knowing some words, I can guess what the sentence is about. At least I don't need to wait for subtitles for Korean Dramas and still understand what is being said!~
My first language is German and English, but I speak Russian, French and Spanish too.
