I play around with pens and brushes and paint from time to time. I don't know if I would consider myself an "artist". Most of mine are drawn from cartoons/animated films or concept art for movies or games. I think most of my examples are from cartoons....

@KindWolf2023 I actually have a lot. Originally I was a design major but quit three years in because I didn't think I had the skill. I started doing pictures again some six or seven years back because the manager of a group I was in seemed to like them.
Now I have a small group who seem to expect a submission once a week plus random people who come across them on *** and the other place I upload them.
It's a little odd because I wouldn't say any of mine are "masterpieces"...

@RogueOne1983Thanks! Mist are just pen and a mixture of watercolor oaint/pencils and pastels. I have a few on black oaper.

@Enthenia ok your work is good it is detailed expressive and accurate. I have been on DA around noob art and that enviro will be yay you took charcoal and drew a stick figure go you keep trying, and that is honestly wonderful everyone starts somewhere!
Yours is far far from that, and when you see people try to sketch characters and what they actually produce, appreciate yours all the more!

@RogueOne1983 Thanks! I've been on DA for what seems like eons. Had some harsh comments in the past. I still get hesitent about posting anything I've done (not just pictures). I get more views than likes but some of the views are pretty substantial. Over 1k on a few.
Usually I think of a subject, find a pose I want to try, save it on my mobile and then draw on the paper. Doesn't always come out "great" though. Most of the time adequate. That's okay because I'm not actually an artist.

I can make some educated guesses. People on DA have scoffed at your fanart. There are trolls there like everywhere. Highbrow types have determined art is only like the Hamilton Building.
This dreadful monstrosity is home to only art so insane I actually delayed becoming an artist FOR YEARS I was so appalled at all I saw!!
You just posted so many pieces of art OF COURSE you are an artist, never think otherwise!!
@KindWolf2023 Just saw your response. I'm at work so I'm looking at things out of sequence. As stated, a myriad of things. I do prose also when I have the time but I also don't consider myself a writer.
Some were the comments. I still avoid looking at comments for as long as possible whenever someone decides to make one. Some is from a lifetime of things never being "good enough" or trying only to have things end up worse than before. And, I can't do anything visually original. Although I don't really write, I have characters whom I'd like to have visual representations of but I just can't get it down on paper.
I can improve on existing characters. Like this one. Says 2020 when I uploaded it. 
This one was uploaded a year later.
This isn't the same pose but it was done this year.

I am also a photographer; I have a Flickr so many people poached photos, used according to my license OR NOT; my Flickr photos have their very own category on Wikimedia Commons and frankly it is terrifying.
I got a big break when Business Insider used a photo. Ok so how did I ever work to this level?
Time practice dedication lessons playing with different cameras and techniques. Haunting photography forums. Taking my cameras everywhere I went.
My first pics were of course bad. They improved with time just like this pic series you showed me.
I am sad xxxx now has so many haters cause it was a lovely warm community 2017-2019 when I was the most active.

Sorry. Just saw the bit about the writing. So I started in high school since actual talking was difficult and no one really seemed inclined to listen. Still that way a bit. Anyways, it was mainly poetry and some short stories. Then I tried doing fanfiction and discovered the ugly side of fans so I concentrated on original stories. Situations were influenced by things I saw or read but they weren't a direct copy. I tried a couple of Nanowrimo's. A few of my better fantasy stories came out of that participation. I tend to stick to fantasy because there's a wider playing field. You have to be fairly technical with Sci-fi and other genres I didn't seem to do well at.
I have nothing published although I did read on writing techniques and ways to get published once upon a time. Then life happened. I still work on a couple of open stories when I have the time. One was a Nanowrimo attempt three or four years ago. I never got close to the 50k word criterion.

It is daunting to get published; one will read many rejections before ever getting an acceptance.
Have you heard of Medium? That is a great platform for poetry short stories etc. Only do as much as you want.

@Enthenia I sat next to a man...he had "mentored" a girl. She entered her art in a contest WON the contest, and after that he had the NERVE to say she wasn't a "real artist."
She won an art contest, so his statement is as valuable as horse pucky, which takes up space, smells bad and is good for nothing!!
@RogueOne1983 My art teacher in high school told me pick a different career.
I don't really remember why I quit the first time aside from being a bit of a perfectionist & extremely self-critical. Wouldn't have started up again if I hadn't started drawing at my job at the time to keep from being bored.. I still can't do anything actually original although I would like to.
@Enthenia what you are doing is remixing established work. That IS art. It is a niche and a valuable one you are good and getting better at.

So now tell me why you love to draw, and color and you are so good at it people are requesting you make drawings for them?

I rarely do requests. I don't have as much free time as people think (less now with a puppy) and generally others are quite specific about what they want. I stopped writing prose baaed on existing characters for the same reason. I have never understood the extreme adoration some have for fictional characters.
As for ability, I still don't think being able to copy something fairly well can be thrust into the same category as sonething by Matisse or Liechtenstein.
@RogueOne1983 I think I've heard of Medium. I actually haven't written a poem in a very long time. With work, school, a puppy, etc. I just don't have the time that I used to. When I work on my open stories, it's only a few lines. I'd like to do more but as I said, I don't have a lot of spare time. I haven't been able to do as many pictures as I used to do. I used to be able to turn out ten a week but I'm lucky if I can get out eight.
