Easter Eggs-travaganza
Welcome crafters, artists, and all those who want to have a bit of fun to celebrate spring or the upcoming Easter holiday!
This is the time of year where something simple, like an egg, can become a colourful masterpiece! That’s right, it's time to decorate eggs! But let’s mix things up a bit, break out of our shells, and explore our creativity!
Do you like to draw or colour? Maybe you prefer to paint? Is crochet more your speed? Wood carving? Craft in any other way? Then join in the Eggs-travaganza, and share with us your own version of an Easter egg! Of course good old fashioned coloured eggs are always welcome too!

As you can see I chose to crochet a few eggs. If you’d like to try, here is a simple pattern for all those who crochet!
Crochet Easter Egg Pattern (In US terms)
Materials:
size e (3.5mm) hook (or size to suit your yarn weight)
Medium/worsted weight yarn (heavier yarn will result in a larger egg, lighter will make a smaller egg)
Stitch marker
Your choice of stuffing material
Instructions:
This project is worked in spiral rounds so use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch in each round.
SC = single crochet
Magic ring
Round 1 - 6 sc into magic ring (6)
Round 2 - 2 sc in each stitch around (12)
Round 3 - sc in each stitch around (12)
Round 4 - 2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in next stitch, repeat around (18)
Round 5 - sc in each stitch around (18)
Round 6 - 2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in each of next 2 stitches, repeat around (24)
Round 7 - sc in each stitch around (24)
Round 8 - 2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in each of next 3 stitches, repeat around (30)
Rounds 9 through 15 - sc in each stitch around (30)
Round 16 - sc in each of first 3 stitches, sc 2 stitches together using front loop only, repeat around (24)
Round 17 - sc in each of first 2 stitches, sc 2 stitches together using front loop only, repeat around (18)
Round 18 - sc in first stitch, sc 2 stitches together using front loop only, repeat around (12)
*Before continuing, firmly stuff your egg with your choice of stuffing material.
Round 19 - sc 2 stitches together using front loop only, repeat around (6)
Cast off
Sew the end into each of the final 6 stitches to gather and close the egg
Work end into the egg
Notes:
I find this is a fairly simple pattern, and you can adjust the number of increasing and decreasing rounds you work based on your results.

@Lou73
Oooh I love the first one! Rainbow
@SleepyShyCat
That is some interesting paint that bunny is using, must take an Easter bunny to do that! 🤣

Spotty paint, looks great and saves time 😀
Thanks for a lovely post @EmotionsListener, I love the crochet bunny and eggs you've made, they are adorable!!
My eggs are a work in progress, I'll share if they are successful haha! But here is a little bunny I made using a pair of socks, rice and ribbon!

(the better image wouldn't attach and I can't work out how to turn this around lol)
Photo will not upload but I did a diamond art easter card of a lamb with daffodils and then a Easter card of tulips and chicks
That sounds amazing @rezasophiea! I'm sorry the photo won't upload :( it would be awesome to see but thanks for describing it to us 😊
@EmotionsListener
Love the bunny & eggs. Would you by chance have the pattern for the bunny as well? It looks to be a simple one that I could knock out easily for a few expecting mommies this year.
@MunchieTaters
It's one of my adapted patterns but I'll try to type it up for you in the next few days if that's okay! (And yes, I just found my paper notes for the bunny so I have it!)
Always happy to share patterns!

@EmotionsListener
Thank you so much! I'm not the best, or fastest, when it comes to crochet, but I do enjoy it. I typically make a "baby" blanket for them that is really too big for a baby...I let them know it's more for putting under them on the floor when they're little and as a blanket when they get a little bigger. That way it's usable for longer, but a bunny would be an awesome addition to it and could be great for using up leftover yarn. 😁😁😁
@EmotionsListener
omg such a cute bunny!
